The initial run of tapes was copied from a master tape that was mixed down to stereo from the original 4-track tape between Jan-'89 and April 3, '89. It bore the following titles ---
1. ARP Introduction
2. Furnace
3. Human Flight
4. Assembly
5. Yellow Rain
6. Cardiac Nightmare
Side B - - -
7. Night Radio
8. Manufacture
9. Disconnection
10. Hypnosis
A subsequent run cassettes had a j-card with no titles but with the following notes:
"This tape consists of sounds recorded between the dates of:
May 1, 1988 and April 3, 1989"
"For further information concerning this tape, contact its creator."
"These recordings may be released at a later date in a different format."
A second master tape, dated July 17, 1991, exists with the following titles ---
Side A - - -
2. Furnace
3. Human Flight
4. Yellow Rain
5. Cardiac Nightmare
6. Hypnosis #1
Side B - - -
7. Night Radio
8. Manufacture
9. Disconnection
10. Hypnosis #2
A single CDr of Root was made in 1999 with the following titles ---
2. Furnace
3. Human Flight
4. Assembly
5. Yellow Rain
6. Hypnosis #1
7. Cardiac Nightmare
8. Night Radio
9. Manufacture
10. Disconnection
11. Hypnosis #2
At this time, it is not known which version of the master is contained on either the un-titled cassettes or the CDr as there is no way to compare them (no reliably working cassette player is available).
A single CDr of Root was made by M. Waldron (date unknown) with a color-enhanced version of the original line drawing artwork. The track titles matches those of the earlier master tape.
More investigation is necessary.
